Facilities
Hayle Library is open for full browsing, and click and collect is still available.
There are five public access computer terminals available for 60 minute sessions, one of which is attached to the scanner, and printing is available. Our Computer buddy is available to help on Friday mornings – please book a slot on 0300 1234 111 or email hayle.library@liscornwall.org.uk
Printing/photocopying for A4 in black and white (10p per page) or colour (50p per page) and A3 in black and white (20p per page) or colour (£1 per page).
Scanning is available.
Stock
Hayle library stocks the latest fiction and non-fiction books, audio books and DVDs. We also stock newspapers – St Ives Times & Echo, The Cornishman, The Times and The Western Morning News.
There is a free home library service for elderly and housebound people, whereby books are chosen, delivered and collected once a month. If you know someone who would benefit from this service please contact the library (details above).
Library members can have up to six free online reservations at any one time.
Many online resources are available: Comics Plus for e-comics, Borrowbox for e-audiobooks and e-books, Zinio for e-magazines, Pressreader for e-newspapers and e-magazines to name but a few.
Visitors
If visitors bring their home library cards they are entitled to the same concessions as residents at any English Library. Visitors with cards can join the library as a temporary borrower and can borrow books, DVDs and talking books. Just bring in proof of address from back home.
Free Parking
Free parking is available in the library car park and on nearby streets.
Disabled Access
There is wheelchair access.
Activities for Children
- Our Rhyme-time session is at the Library on Wednesdays at 11.15am
- Storytime is on Saturdays at 10.30am with a Craft session one week and Lego club the other
Citizens Advice:
Every other Wednesday from 10-12.30pm for free confidential advice. Booking essential – please call, email or drop into the Library to book.
Other Services
Homegroup is a drop-in service every Wednesday from 1.00pm – 3.00pm, offering advice and support for those with physical health needs and / or disabilities.
